A recent article published in "The Enterprise Newspaper Group" in February 2007 reads -
Focus Communications, an Ogden-based firm that provides inbound and outbound call center services, is preparing to open a 500-employee facility in Roy.
The firm has purchased a 26,400 square foot building at 4102 S. 1900 W. and hiring is under way, according to Logan Bowen, director of recruiting and public relations for the company, founded in 1994. The Roy center is expected to open in mid-June, she said.
In addition to the 500 new call center jobs, most involving inbound calls, the Roy facility also will employ roughly 30 managers, according to Bowen. They will join some 1,600 Focus Communications employees in Utah, Iowa and Illinois.
In addition to providing inbound/outbound call center services, Focus Communications also has multilingual capabilities and offers inbound e-mail and chat, outbound e-mail “blasts” and outbound voice messaging.
Focus Communications, which will retain its headquarters at 457 E. 26th St. in Ogden, purchased the Roy building with the assistance of Commerce CRG.
