Executive Team

Focus’ strength is its people. With just under 2,000 employees spread across six domestic and three international facilities, Focus enjoys a diversified employee base of educated, personable and efficient representatives.

John Porter – Founder & Chief Executive Officer – John has nearly 20 years of experience in the call center industry, 17 as founder and President of Focus Services. Prior to founding Focus Services, in 1995, John worked in the marketing and logistics department of E.I. DuPont De Nemours (DuPont). John has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Texas A&M.

Bryan Tesch – V.P. of Accounting & Finance – Bryan joined the Focus team in 2003 as V.P. of Accounting & Finance. During his tenure, Bryan’s vigilance and leadership has helped Focus maintain a strong financial position with minimal long term debt and strong growth. Bryan has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Weber State University.

Don Markland – V.P. of Operations - Don joined the Focus team in 2003 and currently oversees the entire U.S. and International Operations. He has over 12 years of experience in the call center industry, primarily in Operations. Don has a bachelor’s degree in business finance and a MBA in global management. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Johanna Jorgenson – V.P. of IT Operations – Johanna joined the Focus team in 1996 as a data transmission specialist. Johanna has over 15 years of experience in the call center industry. Since that time, she has worked in all areas of Focus’s IT department. Johanna has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics from Weber State University.

Bill Wiser – V.P. of IT Systems & Security – Bill joined the Focus IT team in 1999. Bill has been working in the IT industry for over 13 years. He has held many different positions within the department, gaining experience in IT Operations, Development, and Systems and Security. Bill has a bachelor’s degree in information systems and technology from the Goddard School of Business at Weber State University.

 

Paul Liljenquist – V.P. of Sales – Paul joined the Focus team in 2008. He has extensive experience in many aspects of customer relationship management. Prior to Focus, Paul worked for DealerSocket where he served as National Accounts Manager and for Yao Yang Enterprises as National Sales Manager. Paul has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Brigham Young University.
